thuri has decided that she no longer wishes to participate in the writing of this story. We have both agreed that I shall keep writing it. The next few chapters that will be posted were written with her. I shall attempt to keep the same delicate touch with which she wrote Frodo.
The second is that, after careful consideration and thought, I have decided to delete Chapter 16 ('Chiaroscuro'). It is not strictly necessary for the story, nor is it in keeping with the spirit of what we tried to set up. I take responsibility for my part in it (which was substantial), and I apologize for its initial inclusion. If you should happen to want a copy of it, please feel free to comment or email me for it. (LJ will not allow one to make an entry in a community private, so I fear it must be deleted.) The chapters after it will be re-numbered, and while there will be difficult things ahead for Frodo and Sam, they will not be gratuitous, which this really was.
