Remind me what it's like to be a hero..
Characters: Billy and Tommy
Setting: New York City, Hotel
Content: Mild cursing
Summary: The twins discuss their future
Inside the hotel apartment Tommy sat and glanced out the window. It was snowing outside, pretty hard too. The night sky was covered with the stuff. White puffy batches of it fell down and covered the ground below. Personally he hated the snow. Sure it was pretty to look at and sounded great in a Christmas carol, but ever try running at mach ten while the ground is iced over? Snow made it almost impossible to get around. With it snowing like this he was pretty much stuck inside tonight.
This shouldn’t have been as bad as it felt. He knew was lucky to have such a nice place to stay. Top of the line hotel provided for by his pseudo genetic mother, Wanda Maixmoff. A woman he didn’t entirely understand. Though, he very much doubted anyone did. Not that it helped much. Still, it had been a few months since he had found himself stranded here and nights like tonight didn’t help things much. He was so impatient trapped in here. He felt like a hurricane survivor over staying their time at a shelter, but even he had to admit he had no other place to go.
Times like this made it easy to blame other people for his unique predicament, but he knew it wasn’t anyone else’s fault but his own. Sure Billy had been the one to actually cast the spell that had landed them all here, but Tommy had been just as anxious and brash at finding his true lineage. He’d pushed his brother just as hard and now they were both paying the price.
Tommy sighed and looked away from the window. It was only going to make him annoyed moaning about like this. He needed to do something constructive. Maybe he could talk to Billy and they could figure something out. Anything was better than bothering Quicksilver or Wanda again. That was awkward enough.
Maybe his brother could remind him that he was still actually a Young Avenger. He needed that right now.
Quickly, Tommy stood up and made his way down the hall to his brother’s room. He knocked a little too quickly on the door. “Billy, you up?”
