Characters: Billy Kaplan, OT hotel dwellers or those who can find there way upstairs
Setting: Hotel
Content: The teaching of Hanukkah
Summary: It's the first day of Hanukkah and Billy misses home
Billy had been so preoccupied he hadn't realized what day it was until noon, and with a guilty heart he had torn the hotel apart looking for something that might resemble a menorah, and finally had resigned to going out in search of what he needed to celebrate the holiday. It hadn't occurred to him before now how much work his parents had put into Hanukkah each year, and he felt a longing for home he hadn't since finding his 'mother'. He returned home with a plain looking menorah, which he set in the window to light at sunset, setting a box of Sufganiyot on the counter, and a bag of other goodies beside it.
He felt rather at a loss with his parents here to guide him through the day, the games, and the prayers, but he hoped Teddy, and maybe Tommy would take part in some of it if he asked. Teddy had come to celebrate with him and his family before. Maybe he should have got them a little christmas tree. That would have been polite. He did have chocolate though...and Sufganiyot. Those were his favourite.
