'Ro looked around the rather... beautiful grounds of the mansion from the outside with a mild sense of awe, and a creepy feeling of deja vu. It felt as if she'd been here before. It was so much like she'd been here that she could have sworn that there had been an elm over to her right a few months back. She wondered why they had cut it down. She wondered more why she wondered this. She wondered why the stump looked so many years older than it did, cracked and weathered.
It felt so familiar to look around the grounds, but it also felt so eerily wrong. There were many things that she could have sworn she'd seen. But, maybe she'd caught it in some old youtube footage of the mansion. It was hard to say. As she stepped over the threshold and took a distant look at the people in the yard off at a distance, the young girl frowned.
Here she was, a pint-sized, eighth grade punk who'd broken out of more bad foster homes than she'd counted, and a couple of days ago, she'd taken out the top of Telegraph Hill. Now, she was standing on the lawn of Professor X's freaking mansion, and it felt familiar. How did this place feel familiar to a teenager?
Reaching up, she brushed her hand through her frizzy white hair and whipped her head around as someone ran up towards her, calling out, "Hey Teach!" before stopping in their tracks and walking away confused.
"What the hell's with people these days? Do I look like a teacher?" she muttered, glancing at her hands to see if they were covered with chalk like a math prof.
