"Tough luck, buddy," Danny said, clapping a hand on the confused kid's shoulder and turning him back towards the other campers as he passed by. "Deep breaths," he added over his shoulder and went jogging after Jessica, keeping his distance. "Hey, Jess," he called out to get her to stop, and then waited a few feet back. "Is it safe?" With how that other kid reacted, he guessed the answer was no, and he'd had a few brushes with her pheremones himself over their years at summer camp together. It wasn't an experience he wanted to repeat.
