That weird blonde guy only seemed to be lurking around at night, but even flipping through her photos, Jessica couldn't spot anyone suspicious looking enough to maybe be his day shift replacement. Maybe, on top of ninjas, this case also involved vampires. Why not? Jessica's focus was on her camera as she strolled mechanically through the lobby to the elevator, slapped the call button, then her floor when she stepped in, not even looking up as the cold air blasted through the open doors as someone else arrived. She didn't anticipate them beating the elevator closing. She rolled her eyes with some annoyance, but the ride wasn't too long and at least he wasn't crowding-- "Shit," Jessica muttered in surprise at the rough stop, instinctively putting a hand out for the railing and finally looking up.
That was the weird foreign guy from upstairs. Besides the shitty bleach situation and sporadic tapdancing, he hadn't made much of an impression, so this was his good chance to reveal himself to be...insufferable. Why did people do that, with the buttons? "Do you think it's a puzzle?" Jessica discouraged before he broke it any further. "Try the big, red emergency one, genius."
