Colleen really hoped so too. She'd taken another hit of acid, but fought through it, they were almost done here. As the remaining agents slowly receded, she was left to one more beast while Danny took on his, evaluating her final monster from a starting sprint position, her body and her blade perfectly balanced. She steadily breathed out, relaxing her muscles, and centered her chi, fixated on the spider as it stared back at her, raising its horned body and beating its horrible fangs together in a threatening show. Colleen intended to make this quick.
She kicked off in a graceful sprint, her katana wound back at her side, as the arachnid barreled toward her. In the right moment, just before the monster made its leap, Colleen raised her blade and skid beneath it while it was still stooped low, thrust it close to hilt, and with all her momentum made a clean cut down the creature's underbelly before it got off all of its feet. The monster had barely made it into the air before it was crashing down hard, its death cry muffled by pavement. Colleen tumbled out from under it and landed back in a knelt position, the tip of her blade grazing the ground behind her. She looked up breathlessly, her leg torn up to her hip, and watched the monster flatten, smoking gray viscera seeping from beneath it.
