"That sure looks fun," Danny murmured brightly, and after an agent waved them through, they headed with a throng of armed men towards the giant terrible spiders. Spider-scorpions, as it turned out, when they unfolded their curling sharp tails and raised them, menacingly. Something was dripping from the spider's fangs and their tails, sizzling and leaving small potholes where it hit the ground and ate through. Someone with a gadget nearby muttered acid and the call went up and down the ranks of men who stopped and began their shooting from a distance. With a katana and a magic fist, Colleen and Danny didn't have that luxury. The perils of close combat.
"Watch yourself," Danny warned her and added the offer, "Come to me if you need healing." He ran forward then, fist blazing, and dove beneath one of the monsters, throwing engery-laced punches against its legs to cripple it and bring it down. Giant armored and spiky acid-spitting spider-scorpions, they had to be level 4's. Maybe he and Colleen had bitten off more than they could chew here, but Iron Fist was always up for a challenge.
