"You two need each other to keep you both in line," he remarked with a laugh, and then polished off his croissant. Whatever he was going to say next was lost in the sound of the cafe door flying open and an authoritative looking guy in a black suit ordering the patrons to evacuate. "Speaking of dangers," he muttered, pulling out his phone to check the news as he stood. Yep, apparently they were right in the middle of a worm-hole zone. They were also pretty close to the Rand building; Jeri wasn't going to like the interruption to her day, but at least it got Danny off the hook for not being in the office.
They filed out with the other coffee shop customers until they were outside a blockade, and then Danny tugged Colleen's hand to lead her around the side of a building. "What do you think? Feel like hitting some monsters?" he asked, pulling his sweater over his head to show that he had his Iron Fist costume on underneath. He'd gone into a few monster zones with the girls, and as long as he was with one of them, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents hadn't asked any questions (anyone unhappy about his presence changed their mind pretty fast once he used his powers, anyway). Their unofficial arrangement with S.H.I.E.L.D. had been useful; Danny never wanted any part of the money Fury paid Misty and Colleen under the table, he just liked the opportunity to help the city.
