Far be it from Jasper to recommend the Director not go out of his way to take every little issue into his own...hands, so he only opened his mouth to helpfully report the sex of the animal before snapping it closed again with a jerky nod. Sure, Jasper had an educated guess, but it was good that Fury did a thorough check, probably, everyone should check their cats. The animal didn't even seem particularly bothered. Jasper might have just made a love connection.
The goat questions really did depend on Jasper's insight, though, so before Director Fury started getting handsy with him, too, Jasper grimaced with one eye winced shut at the frankly increasingly strange answers he had. "Tribeca," he tried to say with some levity to avoid any further prying, because Jasper had tried not to lend that situation too much thought himself. Sure, someone in Tribeca wanted a goat, it wasn't the strangest thing to happen there. Everyone was getting pigs last year, weren't they? Very fashionable. "And, uh, goats ride free on the subway, so..." That one was much more difficult to make light of. That was a disasterous decision, clearly. "Anyway," Jasper continued brightly, reaching for the goat's collar again and pushing the cat carrier into the Director's hands to put a stop to the interrogation. "That's us then. Important places to be, people to see, train to catch."
