Nick sighed, she wasn't going to make this easy on him (but, he consoled himself, agreeing to anything was better than worrying about her rampaging and having the military on her ass, at least she seemed open to giving him some measure of control over the situation. And the media blowback onto S.H.I.E.L.D.). With a skeptical look, but no argument, he pulled out his phone and punched in a message, then put it down on the table between them to wait out an answer and finish his meal. They ate in silence and he was halfway through his shake when his phone vibrated and he read the reply with eyebrows raised.
"Check-in and surveillance is the best I can do, the General I'm negotiating with has a stick up his ass on this." He was actually a little surprised that they were willing to negotiate at all, let alone not make a fuss about no tracker. "If you're willing to be friendly to the security detail, then you can probably check in with them whenever you're going out, rather than having to come into S.H.I.E.L.D. once a day." That seemed a somewhat better concession then making her go out of her way.
