No worries :)
"Two thousand thirteen," Teddy repeated in a careful deadpan. "Oh. Wow. Sorry. It's just... in my timeline... you're kind of a lot older, so I'm just wondering what else is different here."
That, and he had to figure out a way to find out how much Magneto knew about Billy's existence without giving too much away. He wasn't sure of anything any more, and he might not be the most selfless and heroic guy these days, but he didn't think polluting the timeline the second he arrived would help him achieve much of anything. Besides, now he had a bunch of blank spots and conflicting memories in his own head to sift through. Goddamn crazy Sorcerers Supreme and their fixations with dead lovers!
He cleared his throat. "I meant thank you." So, right. This was awkward. "I'm trying to find someone from my world. Which I realize isn't terribly helpful, but I don't want to affect this timeline any more than I have to. Butterfly effect and all that." And truly, he didn't say, if Billy was about to descend on this universe like the wrath of god and leave it in tatters, then let them live whatever few more hours or days they had with some peace of mind.
