Nancy, every place you go-
Characters: Magneto and Namor
Setting: Latveria
Content: Violence? Idk
Summary: Magneto and Namor are super detectives Nancy Drew and her awkward friend Bess solving the mystery of whatever's going on in Latveria
Namor was a megalomaniac. For Magneto to say so would certainly be the pot calling the kettle black but it was the truth and it was the reason he abandoned a previously planned mission with his Brotherhood, left the tropical paradise of Genosha, and found himself waiting on a cold mountain ridge a mile north of Latveria. There was a snow storm in full effect so he hadn't yet had an opportunity to see what, if anything, was amiss in Doom's city and upon his arrival was forced by the weather to by pass it completely.
Already he'd decided that coming out here was foolish and Namor was clearly luring him into a trap- but no, it didn't do to overestimate the King of Atlantis' genius. Sad that it was easier to believe that Namor wanted to take on some ill-fated crusade that involved fighting an unknown power, somehow gaining control of it and then exerting his will over it long enough to use it to destroy the world than it was to believe he'd concocted a simple and brilliant means of catching Magnus unawares and taking him out. Namor always dreamed bigger and Magnus would praise that impulse if it weren't so monumentally stupid and led to Magneto wasting his time freezing on a remote cliff in Europe. Still, there was a real danger in what Namor would and could do with said unknown power and so Magneto intended to curb Namor's enthusiasm and perhaps find a way to turn this to his own advantage.
Ten more minutes was all he was willing to wait for his ally because whatever superficial bond they'd formed was not worth being out here or being embroiled in a potential battle with Doom or the Fantastic Four for which he'd come unprepared. Not that he thought he'd lose but it was the principle of the thing. This was, he would remind Namor, merely an expedition to look but not interfere and he wouldn't be pulled into any trouble purely on Namor's account.
