"Escaped," she answered and now she was frowning. Apparently he didn't know but then, she couldn't expect him to, not anymore. It was so strange, that assumption that Tony was always aware and always there and then suddenly remembering that, just like that, he wasn't. When she looked up again she had the key ring looped around her finger and something like an apology on her face as she explained, "It was Loki. I took him on alone. Thought I could get him to S.H.I.E.L.D. or hold him." The ghost of her wry smile returned as she said, playfully, "Nope." Like she hadn't very stupidly and very nearly been killed by a god. All in a day's work or, in her case, a day's mistake. For every mistake though she made sure to do a hundred good things and even if they were small she thought, maybe, things balanced out somewhere. She put the key in the lock and opened the door then stepped aside to let him into an entry hallway where she tossed her purse and then tossed her keys back inside where they would return to the void.
