An Extraordinary Penalty
Characters: Tiger's Beautiful Daughter and Typhoid Mary
Setting: The Raft, ooooh.
Content: Zombies, violence and crazy super villains.
Summary: Hey, you know what would be a good idea? Put all of the Bad Guys in one place, let them mingle and get to know each other. Hell, give them their own island. That'll end well.
In the dark, the waves crashed violently as they always had on the mossy, craggy shore of the island and dragged back into the dark sea. Only when the moon peaked out from behind heavy clouds and shone silver light on the peaks of the waves, the rocks didn't look covered in moss so much as hair and the debris that was tossed around just under the water's surface seemed to reach desperately to grab on to dry land, blue and bloated and already bled pale. The windows of The Raft looking down at the gore were all dark and blind.
Five stories below, deep under the water and silent and pitch black in its embrace, bare feet swept silently along the wide hallway. The only sign of the prisoner's presence was her breathing, shallow and restrained and only hiccuping once as she stopped suddenly and turned blindly. The screech of steel dragging on the rubber floors was deafening as she searched for the door she faced in the dark and dragged it open. One of the few that remained closed after the lights went out, the cameras went dark and the locks clicked open. "Shockwave," she greeted the blackness, her voice soft and cold.
"Is that him? Is he there?" another voice, this one gruff and loud, called down the hall from where he waited behind the bars of the security checkpoint.
"Oh, God..." a small voice from inside the cell, from the floor against the far wall.
"Your friend Razor Fist has told me that you are an artist," the woman said, voice even and patient.
"Wh-what? Artist?"
"You can return power to us. We don't live in the dark."
The whimpering from inside the cell quieted and the shift of clothes and slap of an open palm on the soft floor was starkly audible in the sealed silence. "I thought everyone was d-dead..."
"Almost," Li Hua said.
