Moving slowly on foot wasn't Tony's preferred method of transportation, but it seemed to work best for Noriko as long as Tony could keep her quiet. Hissing, partly to hush her but mostly in annoyance, at Noriko's announcement, he halted his diagnostic scan of the darkened convenience store they stood in to glare at her with glowing eyes. He had hardly been out of the Iron Man since the city went into quarantine and wasn't about to start in this cockroach playground. They scattered the moment his light reached them, making the edges of Tony's vision look constantly blurred and his skin itch under the armor.
"Can you please focus?" he insisted, but strode toward her, holding out a hand to see the frequency her ghost was using. Noriko shouldn't have even been out here, if she got bit it was going to be Tony's fault so she could at least follow the damn instructions and not treat it all as some kind of family outing. He tilted his head, listening intently to the distant voice pushing valiantly through the white noise, trying to make out the words and pick up any sign that this wasn't just a recording. Well, listen to that. Iron Man kept his hand up to halt Noriko's next...whatever she did, just stay still for a second while Tony sorted this out. They had only found bodies in the last two blocks they had walked, it was about time they met a little hope.
