After Kitty locked down the manor, she called all the students into the dance room to be accounted for. The word immediately spread, causing panic to work its way among them like a wildfire--With the help of some the older students, Kitty tried to keep it all from escalating. It was only a matter of time that this would happen, they all knew it, but knowing it didn't make her feel any more prepared. She didn't feel prepared at all, really, even as she went over the "safety protocols" with the students, urging them to keep in mind of the things they'd practiced. Frequently Kitty would look out the window or the hall to see if Kurt had returned, growing more nervous the more time passed.
Eventually she asked some of the older students to manage the group and let Calvin know she'd be right back--she just wanted to make sure Kurt was okay. "Kurt?" She called out to him, making her way to the bottom floor of the manor. Kitty phased through the back entrance, short-lived relief in her eyes when she found Kurt there in the midst of his stupor with the three infected people still remaining. Why was he just sta--She gasped. "Kurt, look out!" Kitty ran out and went for the zombie closest to him before it had the chance to attack, phasing its body through the ground and locking it in from the shoulders down.
