The look the man had given her was completely missed as Bobbi celebrated her mutant bee championship, tossing the stinger to pump a fist in the air then give the fuzzy body a kick for good measure. There was no telling what a giant bee might survive. Apparently it wasn't that. There was a whole hive out there to be gutted, though, so the celebration couldn't last long. "I'm going to get you out of here, ma'am," Bobbi explained, which was the best answer she had that didn't seem entirely obvious. 'You were just attacked by a giant bee' didn't sound like the sort of thing she was looking for. Bobbi still hesitated, though, for just a fraction as she finally studied the couple the bee had been harassing, trying to figure out of she'd seen the on TV or something. "Stay close to me," she commanded, recovering quickly and putting it out of her mind, and added to the guy, "Keep her between us."
Turning out of the alley and taking a quick survey of the carnival grounds, Bobbi could see the emergency lights flashing to her right-- and the largest concentration of bees. Holding a hand out to steady her charges, she gave them a nod that she hoped would inspire some confidence in her abilities before arming herself with the pair of staves harnessed to her thigh. She didn't need guns. This was just a bunch of bugs.
