Wanda didn't seem particularly bothered at the prospect of someone seeing her kiss him and she pouted a little when he broke away to kiss her forehead. Of course she'd brought him a gift and she'd have been perfectly willing to offer more by way of kisses if he wasn't so preoccupied with handing her a gift wrapped box. Well, there was plenty of time she supposed, she was here for a few hours at least, maybe the night, so long as nothing came up to deal with out west.
When she opened her gift, Wanda raised her eyebrows and offered a polite thank you, trying not to laugh. She realized full well that Tony hadn't picked this out- she'd have to thank Pepper for it later. She did like the color and it looked like it could be cozy for the rare evenings when it actually did drop somewhere near to cold in Malibu. Folding it neatly, she put it back in the box and then rose to retrieve his from where she'd just put it. Flinging herself back down beside him she held the little box out of his reach and, with a petulant expression, pulled his chin down for another kiss. She'd just traveled over two thousand miles, she wasn't going to be denied.
Satisfied by a more prolonged kiss, she settled back and handed over the silver-wrapped gift so he could open it. He really was impossible to shop for, but she'd eventually decided to try and find something to do with Howard Hughes- she remembered Tony'd mentioned him a few times as a sort of idol. It was amazing what you could scrounge up in L.A.
What she'd found was a wrist watch, Patek Philippe Ref. 1463, that had been auctioned a few years ago and supposedly once belonged to Howard Hughes. That she'd got it at all was lucky, she'd met someone who knew the current owner and after she'd met him, she convinced him to sell. Afterwards she'd done a little research that made it hard to believe the watch was actually Hughes' (there had been a controversy about it when it was first auctioned, too, apparently). Still, Wanda figured if nothing else it was a nice vintage piece in very good condition. She explained it's significance to Tony with a smile and finished with a shrug. "Even if it wasn't his, it's still a sixty-two year old working watch."
