Sebastian took a seat as per instruction and glanced down at the survey. Oh! Oh no! His pencil was broken. How could he file a survey this way? No, this wouldn't do. Oh. But to be the first to raise a hand so early on in this was social suicide. How could he? People would think him stupid. There was always that stupid guy. The one who can't even get started without the teacher. God, He didn't want to be that guy! But, he couldn't get started without a fresh pencil and there wasn't another spare in immediate sight. Desperately Sebastian darted his gaze around the room. He tried to make it as casual as possible. He even went so far as to sneak in a stretch and yawn to cover his gaze. Hopefully no one could tell that he was secretly hiding anxiety. Or could they?
God. There wasn't a pencil. Ah! Where was Daisy when you needed her? Well, this settled things. He'd just have to do it. He would just have to raise his hand. Maybe he could still salvage things though. The key was just to sound confident. Tone of voice was everything. Right, here we go. "Um, Sir? I haven't got a good pencil. So, if you don't mind?"
