It was kind of a relief to know that Kate hadn't remembered them but it was kind of really sad, too. All that time and she'd had this whole other life and her "Dad" was telling her it wasn't even real. That had to have been terrible. Cassie was totally sympathetic now, her suspicion pretty much banished under the influence of Kate's story. When she got to the end of it, Stature felt her eyes stinging and she was glad for her domino mask. Cassie knew exactly what it was like to see her grave and she also knew what it felt like to lose your best friend because she'd lost her dad and staying in this universe had meant losing the other Young Avengers. It had meant losing Kate, and Kate was someone she hadn't ever stopped missing.
"I know," she mumbled as she returned Kate's hug and tried not to sniffle. It was only in quiet moments that she'd ever let herself feel sad over the Young Avengers and especially Kate, but she didn't expect to feel so overwhelmed if she ever saw her again.
