Smirking, he paused his shuffling, only to move the shot glasses and bottle of vodka out of the way as he fanned out the deck on the bar. "I'll make dis simple den." Running a finger along the cards, they flipped over so that she could tell that it was a normal deck. No special tricks or anything like that happening. Then he ran his finger back, causing all the cards to flip back over, before quickly swooping them up into his hands and shuffling them again.
Cutting the deck in threes, one handed, he looked up at her to see if she was really paying attention. "Now you just tell dis Cajun when to stop." The moment she did, he picked up the top cut with his other hand and held up a queen of hearts for her inspection. But he obviously could not see the card as he commented, "You make sure to remember dis one."
Shuffling the cards again, even springing them back and forth between his hands, he stopped and showed her a two of spades. "Is dis de card?" Feigning shock, he tried a jack of diamonds, "Dis one?" Trying to act as if he were caught of guard by the sudden 'wrong' card yet again, he fanned the cards on the bar again, all face up only to tap his chin curiously, though knowing full well that her card was not among them. "You try your back pocket den cher?" As if that were the most obvious place in the world.
