"Jack," she muttered under her breath before she even saw him and then immediately turned her head, prepared to look up at him in greeting, but instead her eyes were pulled by the force the fried, powdery batter in all its fattening glory and she actually gasped because...that was the one thing she was really crazy. And to think, she still declined his offer!
"No thanks," she smiled. "I plan to get my own after the line dies down some." Mind you, Kitty realized it could take until closing for this to happen, but she had hope. "And anyway, if you're going to eat a funnel cake, you have to go all out. You know, with the sugared strawberries, the whipped cream, and the chocolate drizzle..." Kitty said this as if it was pure fact. Which, it was.
Slipping her hands into her pockets, Kitty moved forward in the line, side-eying him. "Didn't peg you as a festival-goer."
