characters: Kitty, OTA setting: Monday afternoon just outside a restaurant in New York City. content: :) summary: Now that she's well rested, Kitty's out to get some food.
The sound of knuckles banging on the door stirred Kitty out of a deep sleep and out of instinct, phased her body right through the bed (good thing her room was on the first floor, right?), with her head still above the surface, widened hazel eyes staring bewilderedly at the source of the sudden noise. "Housekeeping," she sighed heavily, bringing herself back up. Of course it was housekeeping. She was in a hotel. But why now, it was morning, wasn't it? Housekeepers don't usually come so earl-- "A quarter to three?" Kitty grimaced at her watch and fell back against sheets and pillows. Had she really been asleep for twenty-four hours? It didn't feel like it, but that was usually the case with jet lag, huh?
"Oh boy." Dragging her hand over her face, Kitty hoisted herself back up and shuffled toward the door in a pair of shorts and a tank top. "So sorry I kept you waiting like that," she smiled apologetically, hiding half of her body behind the door. "My room's pretty clean, but if you wanna come back later...? I'll be out and about soon..." The lady nodded with some understanding it appeared, and once she continued down the hall, Kitty shut the door and immediately headed for the shower, hoping that it'd knock out some of this lingering fatigue. She needed to get out anyway - Kitty, no matter how tired she was, really didn't like to use up time sleeping away like that.
After the shower, she threw on a shirt and some jeans and once she was finished getting completely ready, grabbed what she needed and left the hotel, admittedly a little surprised that one was even up and running after the catastrophe that hit. Then again, New York City was a pretty tough city to crack it seemed. Feeling hungry and a bit dehydrated, walked into a small restaurant and came out with more food than she had initially planned to get. Give the girl a break, though, she was starving. And anyway, it was still cheaper than the hotel food. Sipping her large soda, Kitty took a seat at one of the outside tables and unwrapped her burrito. "Bon appetit," she smiled, bringing it up to her lips.
