Waiting for just that to happen, Hulkling remained clinging to the plane with his eyes squeezed shut for about as long as he figured it would take an airplane to decide to explode. Even when he did take a deep breath and open one eye, it was to glance at Stature for some assurance that things weren't about to go even further south before unfurling his wings and carefully extracting himself from the airplane's now warped tail.
He was pretty sure he could hear the passengers and crew inside, shouting and shuffling around in their panic, wondering what just happened to them. Being rescued was quite unnerving business, and rather conflicted with one's attempts to reconcile with one's death when your aircraft begins to fall out of the sky. Panic, therefore, was to be expected, but that didn't mean Teddy had to like it. Especially when he swooped down to the emergency door to wrench it, and much of the wall from around it, admittedly, off of the craft to make sure everyone was okay and get the people that really needed help out of there fast. What he really, really didn't appreciate was being surprised with a forceful jet from a fire extinguisher by an enterprising stewardess. He guessed ripping their doors off wasn't the best way to introduce himself.
