In all his years of experience, one of the things Tony learned to anticipate was when Nick was about to start cursing his anger out. He quickly slid away, busily looking up to properly assess the situation again while Nick spent some energy. At the question, he opened his mouth to answer before glancing at Billy with a tick of annoyance that he covered with a quick shift to pat his pockets down for his phone, but murmured, "I never get signal down here," in the meantime.
It was a good opportunity to take stock of what he had, because while he was still looking at Billy he thought to ask, "What's up with your...?" and wave a hand around his face. Usually, the kid had something to say, if it only was 'Get us out of here' to port them out of this situation. The squeak Billy gave was enough of an answer for Tony to nod his understanding as he assembled what he had to work with in front of him (the aspirin from the kitchen, his phone, his wallet, the ring from Wanda, the gun from Nick), and suggest, "Ice chips really help when you--" before finishing with his tongue pushed into his cheek and his fist up to his mouth, lamely letting his hand fall to wave the whole idea away before anyone else cared to comment on how half assed it was. Poor joke to attempt when Tony was in a terrible median of drunk and panicked. The aspirin, he tossed to Billy, and nothing else was going to be useful as he inched towards Nick again to evaluate the wound he'd received in the tunnel.
