Showdown at the O.K. Corrall
Characters: Emma Frost, Danny Rand
Setting: The School of Thunder(New York), then the astral plane
Content: R for bloody memories and psychic pseudo-erotica
Summary: Frost looks for the showdown she was denied at the X-Mansion
"Come on Terrence, focus!" Danny called to the young man in front of him. He snapped a strike at his student, with a thickly padded green fist. The gloved hand darted close to the boy, but Danny had expert control- the gloves weren't really necessary, but it kept the parents happy. Terrence flinched back at the attack, raising his guard, and Danny pressed the attack. He tapped the boy's head lightly on the left- then the right- then right again- forcing his student back.
"Don't let me-" Terrence threw a snapping backfist that caught Danny square in the nose. He stumbled back a few steps, and blinked in surprise.
He hit me! TERRENCE hit me!!
The exposed wood beams and beige rice-paper walls of the training room, gave the lighting in the room an amber hue. Candles and paper lanterns lit the beautifully built space, spongy rattan mats making up the floor. Danny wore his traditional kung fu practitioner's silk shirt and pants. They were loose but comfortable, jade green and trimmed in yellow.
Danny smiled and started clapping, looking the surrounding students to follow. Terrence lowered his guard and grinned sheepishly. "Alright Terrence!" Danny called, throwing an arm across his shoulders and giving him a half-hug.
Danny looked out across the classroom, and pointed to the boy. "This is the guy who couldn't hit the heavy bag without knocking himself over two months ago. Now he's beating my guard!"
Danny let the boy go and would have let him bask in the glow of his victory for longer, but the electric lights flickered as thunder boomed loudly outside. For a moment only candles and lanterns lit up the room, giving it an eerie orange glow. The lights came back on a moment later. Something else caught Danny's eye, however.
He set his jaw.
A woman stood at the threshold of his classroom. A woman in white.
