Oh in our turning towards the new-
Characters: Magnus, Boom Boom, Open to anyone else who might want to talk to Mags? (In which case, multi-thread).
Setting: Where else? Mags' study.
Content: Nothing bad.
Summary: Magnus has a new mission for Boom Boom.
Events were going surprisingly well. Pieces falling perfectly into place. A pessimist might expect his advantages to crumble at any moment; but Magnus was trying to be optimistic. Really he had quite a lot to be optimistic about, not least of all his son's continued loyalty. He was very nearly proud of him really. Pietro passed the little test of Madagascar. He'd set off the bomb and certainly, there were no casualties, but everyone was wont to make mistakes. Magnus wouldn't, he supposed, begrudge his son a conscience. Magnus was so pleased with his son that, without pomp, he was affecting a subtle shift in Pietro's position in the Brotherhood. He would become Magnus' proverbial "right hand man," a position that had before been held by Wanda and which Magnus had never trusted Pietro to fulfill. Though truly that honor always had and always would belong to Mystique. Pietro need not know that. Yes, Magnus was rather glad for Pietro's commitment.
Clearly, Regan's ability had worked wonderfully. That asset required a close watch and so Magnus called in Boom Boom from New York to assign her a new task. The moment was rather opportune to place an agent at Xavier's school to infiltrate and keep an eye on the one he'd just sent. Regan's ability rendered her ideal for evading any telepathic intrusion, but heretofore Magnus had been unable to find any other means to combat the prolific telepaths at Xavier and thus had sent no one else before Regan. A breakthrough by a Genoshan scientist provided a perfect opportunity. Utilizing the technologies in the mutant suppression collar and Magnus' helmet the scientist created a simple pair of silver earrings that would effectively block any psychic invasion. These he intended to give to Tabitha and then send her right along to Westchester. Yes, it was certainly an opportune time for the Brotherhood.
