It's almost enough
Characters: Scott Summers and all staff members of the X-men
Setting: X Mansion Meeting Room
Content: Probably language.
Summary: With everything piled up against them, Scott decides he is tired of waiting and seeing how the chips fall. He has called the X-men together to figure out what their plans and feelings are.
Scott had called all senior staff members into a meeting. He wasn't sure which ones would show themselves, but he had left a note on their doors to meet him in the conference room at 4PM on this day. He was a little worked up, and wasn't really sure what he was planning.
About 2 or three weeks ago, he died fighting the Iron Man. Luckily, Elixir had revived him. Even before that, there were these rumors of mutant cures. And before that, there was the idea of registering all the mutants. Now he had Magneto and his hell spawn making mutant kind look bad on television. Awesome wasn't a correct term to describe how Scott's mental state was.
He was backed into a corner. It was time to stop being political, and take Logan's advice about taking charge. This wasn't a game anymore, and it was time to start treating it like the problem it truly was.
He was waiting a little early, so he was pacing the room slowly. He wasn't in battle gear. He wore simple jeans and a T-shirt, with his sunglasses. He figured if he suited up for this meeting, they would assume he was ready to go to war now, and he wasn't.
Did he want to be a mutant terrorist? No, because Scott Summers was a hero. He honestly did believe in order to get the human population to accept them, he had to show them they were their to protect them. If he lost his cool, and went around blowing up SHIELD bases or Doctor labs, he only proved what they said was right.
Still, deep down, he wasn't sure what he wanted. It was too much for him, and he didn't have an outlet. Everyone was looking to his shoulders to carry the burden. They looked to him to know what to do. And for the first time in years, Scott didn't have a clue. So as for now, he would pace. He would wait. And he would plot.
