He was still pacing around as Emma and Piotr came in. He gave them both a nod, then motioned to seats. After a short pause, he came to a stop at the head of the table. Looking to his team, he was disappointed Charles hadn't made the meeting, but this was normal lately.
"I called you all here to bring up some of the issues we have been facing as a community lately." He scanned the room making eye contact with each member to see their reactions, but continued speaking. He wasn't sure what the knew and what they didn't. Some had been away, some hadn't really watched much TV. Either way, this would get it out in the open.
"Recently, there has been talk about a registration. They want us all to sign on with the government, in order to know our identity. This vote will come into debate soon. I personally don't like the idea of being force to register with anyone. I just want to be left in peace." He took a breath, before starting again.
"Also Logan and I discovered SHIELD's use of a temporary cure. This would be used on criminals. I honestly think that is acceptable, but I worry someone will get their hands on it and use it on us all. Then there is word about a new cure. One that will be pushed on us. They look at mutation like AIDS, and they are going to make it illegal to deny treatment. This will probably come up about the time of the registration."
After a short stopping, he locked eyes with Emma for a moment. He wasn't sure how much she cared. Looking to Logan, he knew that guy was probably about to pop like a zit. Kurt was probably taking all this in, and Piotr...Scott couldn't really read the Russian easily.
"The last issue, are the Riots on TV and whatever link there is with Magneto. I know we haven't had much interaction with Erik, but we need to worry about his actions." He stood more squared as he finished. "My question is, What are we gonna do about it? Rebel? Submit? I have my own side assignment, but I want to know where we all stand on this before I take any further action. So, what do you all say?"
