He got up to go grab a piece of pie himself, and came back with a small plate of chocolate chip cookies instead. Although he did manage to remember (somehow) to refill his glass of milk. You could not have cookies without milk, even he knew that. Sure, milk and cookies had not exactly been the norm at their house, not by an extremely long world's-greatest-football-moments shot, which probably explained the fact that he had been so easily sidetracked by warm cookies.
Not that it was hard to sidetrack Slav in the least.
