Nik hadn't been particularly interested in waiting for his parents to get over whatever problem it was today. Something idiotic probably. Someone was causing the other to get gray hair or some shit. Whatever. That's what hair color was for. So he had settled on the floor near the door, knees pulled up and a book in his lap. He didn't care what his brothers thought about his reading habits.
It had taken ages for them to decide to just go on without Bianca and Louis. They were going to be in there for a long time it sounded like. Honestly, what was the point of standing out there and waiting when they knew they were just going to be stuck if they weren't proactive? Gor voice a similar opinion but Nik actually hadn't. Maybe he should have but it was too late now.
By the time they actually got to Circean Delight, he was starving. He'd been the first to pile food on a plate and picked out the table. Of course he wasn't exactly eating. His book was still open and a lit cigarette was in his hand. The thing was half-burned up and mostly unsmoked save for when he lit it. He was dressed in his usual - ripped black jeans, a long sleeved shirt with a short sleeved black shirt over it. The black one had bleach spots dotting the shoulders. He wasn't so great at laundry.
Nik glanced up at Gor for a moment when the youngest sat down but didn't say anything. He thought it was kind of funny that Bianca had taken all his chains yet Nik still had his wallet chain hanging from his pants. Maybe it was because he was 19. Still, at least the kid was looking fairly normal for once instead of like a complete freak. (A little freak was fine as that was about his status. A complete freak was something else.)
