AND IF THE WIND IS RIGHT WE CAN SAIL AWAY AND FIND TRANQUILITY
Duncan had felt some minor disappointment when Aiyana called to say she wouldn’t be able to come out Friday night, but he didn’t ask her to explain even though she promised it was important and that she would come first thing in the morning.
Staying on the “Librae” for the night allowed him to clean up the place a bit more since, in his estimation, it had gone a bit long without a thorough cleaning; he ran into the village to grab a few things for the couples stay on the lake…things like food. He even made sure to stop by and pick up Aiya’s favorite take-out. The whole idea made him laugh since they would, once again, have to heat it up. The night went by quickly as he put things in order around the boat and he allowed himself to fall asleep on deck, Admiral beside him, thinking about what the next night might hold.
Duncan almost always woke early and Saturday morning was no different. He went for a swim; thankful that his powers allowed him to spell the water for a short period to keep him warm and then took a shower to clean himself up. He’d just finished dressing when he heard Admiral barking. Climbing to the upper deck, he spied Aiya walking down the dock. “Look at you up so early,” he teased.
