Being a storybook hero was not all it was cracked up to be. For one thing, there were giants. Axel quickly learned that giants had little rationality and were not impressed by threats of litigation. Also, his flying horse seemed to have no respect for him and kept leaving glitter-coated droppings everywhere.

Still, he supposed it was all worth it when he arrived at the Lady Claudiana's besieged tower; but when he introduced himself as the champion sent to rescue her from evil, she only laughed. "Rescue? Evil? Good man, this is a brothel. I need help with my accounts."

AND SO THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER! This is the best Axel story EVER!

Nur weil das Austauschprogramm der Essener Polizei ihn zu den Canadian Mounties verschlagen hatte, würde er noch lange nicht auf diesen Gaul steigen. Er sah sie beide schon die Klippen herunterstürzen.

„Seit wann stehst du eigentlich auf Pferde?“

„Du weißt doch; ich habe etwas übrig für Männer in Uniform.“

LOL! Oh, perfekt, ich hatte gerade einen sehr realen Kicheranfall. Die Canadian Mounties! Schmollender Deniz! Roman, der offensichtlich mit Pferden umgehen kann! Männer in Uniform! Absolut bezaubernd :D

“Oh, c 'mon give him his damn flying horse already! I know, I know, collapsing dragon trauma, grey hair, not to mention the cost... But he's been dreaming about that freaking beast ever since his Gunzenhausen days. Bet he's dreaming about it right now“ Deniz jerked his head in the direction of Roman, asleep on the couch, the cushion in his arms only half hiding the smile on his face.

“And besides”, Deniz turned to Marc again, cheeky grin on his face, “I happen to find greying temples sort of sexy on a man of a certain age.”
