Appearance: James has dark hair, dark eyes and thick dark eyebrows. He’s about five-nine and a little on the scrawny side. He doesn’t look like a gang member, looks more like a rich boys son. He tends to dress more in the punk, skater and what -could- be called ‘emo’ styles. James goes for what’s comfortable, not what others will like. However he has been known to clean up when needed.
Cybernetics: James has cybernetic eyes. He lost his original in a fight when he was in school and had an artificial one put in and the second was replaced a year later after suffering from seizures, caused by the brain not processing information from one real and one ‘fake’ eye correctly.

Cyber-eye Stats:
Night Vision w/light diffusion - Allows wearer to see accurately during the night and prevents light trails.

Minor Zoom - Has a 10% magnification ability.

Gang: Sixth Street Rats
Gang Status: Street Driver (2nd cousin of McMurphy)

Personality: James has always been a bit of a introvert, he's not devoid of emotion or anything, just don't expect him to jump up and down cheering or have many other outbursts of emotion. He's also quite humble about his talent behind the wheel, and gets embarrassed when people cheer for him after a win. When it comes to women, he's a real romantic. He tends to practice in serial monogamy and treats the girl he's with as if they were a goddess.

Employment: Rents his services as a driver at times- otherwise lives off the money he makes from racing.
Special Skills: James is a crack driver. He’s been told on more than one occasion that he should go into a professional circuit or even stunt driving. James’s also trained in how to use a gun and normally hits what he’s aiming at… at least when it’s not moving. James also knows quite a bit about cars and how to repair or 'trick' them.

History: James is the only child of Charles and Mary Wise. His parents had no direct association with the SSR, but when Mary's cousin's boy joined (to eventually become leader) they were pulled into the scene. James and Alan knew each other pretty well through their close knit family's holiday gatherings and summer vacations. James always looked up to Alan, which scared his mother a little, knowing that Alan did have a tendency to get violent at times, however despite that James turned out to be a pretty even balanced kid.

James's first time behind the wheel was when he was 9 years old, Charles was a conductor on the subway on the last line to be converted to complete automation. He got to sit in his fathers small booth, on his lap and press some of the buttons that steered the train along the cities underground. When he started High School he started to hang out with Alan more, started to call him McMurphy around the house (despite his mother's protests) and was a frequent observer at the street races. He picked up mechanics from hanging around the garage and driving tips from all the drivers. The moment he had a license he -knew- he had to be on the track. He'd train with some of the SSR drivers, getting to go on 'practice runs' when they were trying out new routes. When he was behind the wheel it was like he was one with the car, and one with the road.

James's first official race was during an amateur night, where anyone could race, three months after he turned 17- by now he was an official Rat. He made it to the last four in the race and lost to one of the drivers after an illegal move. A fight broke out between the SSR and the smaller group that was there in support of the other driver. During the fight James was thrown into a chain-link fence- face first, and fell to the ground, having been injured by a broken link that stuck out of the fence like a weapon. His attacker wailed on him and as much as James tried, he couldn't get the other guy off him. Eventually the cops showed up and the scene cleared quickly. Two of James's mate's grabbed him up and got him into one of the cars and they fled to a guy they knew who was always willing to patch up a Rat, with no questions asked.

Upon examination of James's wounds, the doctor discovered that the broken fence had punctured his eye, which explained all the intense pain and blood on his face. James was patched up and given... well... a patch while he healed up, eyeless. It was Alan who stepped up as family and helped arrange for James to get a cyber eye, and then his second after the seizures a year later forced him to decide between two fake eyes or one real.

Since them James has continued to work at the garage for fun (he doesn't actually get paid for it) and race in the street races. He's also gotten into renting himself out as a driver, mostly to richer business men who need a chauffeur for a night.

Weaknesses: Obsession - James has developed an obsession for racing. He can’t resist when a challenge is posed to him and he follows the other street racers races almost religiously. James just has to stay on top of things and hates when he can’t.

Reckless – James’s good, and he knows it. This can make him very reckless behind the wheel, taking risks that he probably shouldn’t take and at times, with other peoples lives.

Superstition – When James starts a race there is a little ritual he -must- do before he even starts the engine. He’s very superstitious about it and believes he’ll lose if he doesn’t, of course it’s more a subconscious fear, but it still impacts the way he drives. He must approach his car and run his hand along the hood, from the front drivers side headlight, along to the passengers side and around the car until he gets to the door of the car. He can then open the door (or get in through the window, depending on the style of the door. He then check rear-view mirror, side mirrors, gauges (gas, oil, nitrous, etc. which can differ depending on the car) and -then- puts the keys in. He can then belt (pulling on it four times before snapping it into place), then helmet and gloves or whatever else he needs to do for the race. When on the starting line he revs three times and is ready to race.

Strengths: Quick reflexes - James has always had quick reflexes which helps him a lot as a driver.

Appearance: Marcus has thinning brown hair and light brown eyes. His most obvious feature is his missing right arm (or the prosthetic one he wears), false left eye and limp on his left side. He has a number of tattoos and scars from where his cybernetics were removed. He tends to dress in rock t-shirts and black jeans. He used to dress ‘rough’ like some of the other Cybermen, but after his negative reaction it’s easier to dress without all the ‘tough guy flare’.
Cybernetics: None.

Gang: The Cybermen
Gang Status: Retired – Former leader

Personality: Marcus is quite relaxed, since his fight against death he's become much more aware of living life for every day. He's very fatherly and protective of all the Cybermen and is the first to enter a fight to defend any of them.

Employment: Owner and proprietor of Lefty’s Pub.
Special Skills: He used to be pretty good in a fight and while still knowledgeable in tactics and techniques of ‘street fighting’ he’s not very good at them himself. Marcus is experienced in mixing and serving drinks. He also has a little weapons training, guns and knives- though his skill level is diminished a bit since the loss of his arm.

History: Marcus was always a Cyberman really, even before the gang was officially set up. His father was a member of the gang, and so was his mother. He was raised apart of the angry, violent world of gang life. As Marcus grew up he stuck with the cyber way of life, getting his first implant when he was 18 and went from there. He proved himself early on a viable member of the gang, fighting with his brothers against their rivals and bringing in large scores. By the time he was 26 the group was officially going by the name ‘Cybermen’ and they different groups who hung out in, what is now, the Red Zone all banded together. When he turned 30 had his own territory to shake down and a week before he turned 35 he’d managed to beat his way to the top. While the Cybermen had never had an ‘official’ leader, and the title could theoretically change hands on a week by week basis all depending on who was tougher, no one could seem to knock Marcus from his throne.

The ‘war’ was pretty bad between the gangs, there were unwritten rules about not stepping on anyone else’s turf and keeping to your own territory, but the groups were pushing their luck. Even the Cybermen were trying to gain more space. Marcus lead the group through the war and fought it as ruthless as all the others, he lost friends and even his only brother to the cause but he wasn’t going to let that stop him from leading the Cybermen into victory over the city. When talk of the treaty started to spread Marcus thought it was complete bull and just a weak man’s way out. A year before the treaty was to be signed something happened to Marcus to change his mind.

Marcus was diagnosed with stomach cancer and started to undergo treatment. His brothers were supportive, but still completely wrapped up in the turf war. Marcus realized one night after undergoing a harsh round of treatment that without a strong leader like himself, the Cybermen were going to be eaten alive after the treaty was signed. He knew that they had to sign it to ensure their preservation. When he was finally released from the hospital he started to attend the diplomatic sessions, a treaty was already in the works as the rumors had said and Marcus managed to ensure that the Cybermen would be apart of it. He got them territory and security to keep doing what they were doing, and guaranteed they’d last longer than they would if they hadn’t signed.

Marcus stepped down from his position a month later, after his body had a reaction to his cybernetics and he had to go in for emergency extraction surgery. He’s since opened a bar ‘Lefty’s Pub’ and retired from the gang life. He still hangs out with many of the Cybermen, who frequent his pub, and is getting used to his new ‘tame’ life.

Weaknesses: Cyber-rejection – After his cancer and the treatment, his body could no longer maintain the cybernetic implants he had to have them removed. His body will not accept any cybernetic implant, this is not limited to ‘vanity’ implants- if his heart fails he can not get a cybernetic one.

Prosthetic parts – Thanks to his cyber-rejection Marcus has a prosthetic right arm, which is a slightly higher tech version of what we have now. It’s clumsy at times and can only do so much. His left eye is also a prosthetic which is purely for show, it has no function and is only there for vanity.

Lame Leg – Marcus had a number of muscle enhancement cybernetics that have since been removed. Most of his muscles repaired themselves and returned to a reasonable state, but the ones in his left leg caused damage that has yet to repair itself. This makes it weaker than the other leg and he either needs to wear a motored brace, or walk with a crutch. Both of which give him a very bad limp.

Addiction – Marcus has a slight addiction to pain killers. Right now he’s not suffering any ill effects because he takes regular injections, but if he were to stop he would go through some pretty bad withdrawals. The frequency of his need for injections is slowly increasing as well.

Stomach Cancer – It’s currently in remission, and they don’t think it’ll come back, but you never know.

Strengths: Legend – Marcus ‘Lefty’ McMillan is a legend. He’s one of the few who can say they were there when the treaty between the gangs was signed, and has the distinction of being one of those very people to do the signing. This gives him status in his gang, or former gang, and gives him instant respect from members of most other groups as well. While not everyone likes him, not many want to see what happens when they stand alone against a legend.

Funds – Even before the pub Marcus has always been good with money. He managed to save up enough to buy the bar from his cut from jobs and now that he has the place he’s never found himself hard up for much. While he can’t go buy three yachts or an island, he never needs to worry about how he’s going to pay rent, buy stuff for the bar or feed himself.

Appearance: Abby has long dark hair with dark eyes. Her look drifts between ‘Goth’ to ‘vintage’, loving to dress clothes from different eras like; medieval and renaissance to 1920s and 1970s. She’s got soft features and a thin frame which can make her look weaker than she is.

Gang: Children of Darkness
Gang Status: New member

Personality: Abby has an artists soul, but it’s not the soul of a ‘cottage in the woods’ artist, it’s the heart of a ‘the darkness that lurks within’ artist. She’s a Goth artist, or at least hopes to be one day. She's not the 'OMGoth' type of Goth, but she is into looking at the darker side of things. She's not very perky, but she craves intellectual conversation. She very passionate when it comes to love and hopes to one day find someone who will treat her like the lady she is.

Employment: No, she’s a student studying Art at the University.
Special Skills: Abby paints, very well. She prefers mixed media and tends to go for dark colors and themes. She's well read, especially when it comes to poetry and art history.

History: Abby's been into the 'Goth' scene since high school, she never quite fit in with the jocks and cheerleaders, and didn't care enough to fit with the band, drama, choir or honor roll kids. Instead Abby found kindred spirits with the outcasts and misfits. The only time she ever came close to fitting in was when she was with the other artists in the art studio, and even then she stuck out as the 'weird one' with her vampire paintings and violent imagery. She was even recommended for counseling at one point.

Abby's school life was quite undesirable, her home life was quite the opposite-- at least for most people. Abigail Edwards is the daughter of Nathan Edwards, of Edwards and Klein, one of the cities largest criminal law firm. To say that Abby is well off is probably putting it mildly. However, as much as some people would envy her for her families money, she'd happily give it up most days. Her father worked god awful hours and she barely saw him, much less spent time with him. Her mother found comfort in the arms of all of her tennis and aerobics instructors and yoga instructors and pool boys and gardeners and, well, you get the picture. Abby spent most of her time alone, or with her few friends.

She was 16 the first time she went to a CoD rave and for the first time really felt apart of something. It wasn't until she was 18 that she started to frequent one of their clubs and only a year ago was she given the offer to try for membership into the gang. So she juggles her night life with school and her art, while trying to impress the other Children of Darkness. It's part of her passion to be able to get into their ranks, to be apart of the family and she's willing to do almost whatever it takes.

Weaknesses: Easily addicted - Currently Abby hasn't been exposed to enough things to become addicted to any drugs, but she has a pre-deposition for addiction (thanks to her mother's drug addictions and her grandfathers alcoholism) so chances are if she starts taking stuff she'll be hooked.

Masochistic - Pain is pleasure and pleasure is pain. Abby's still pretty innocent when it comes to the whole sex thing, but once those doors open she'll find that what is normally pleasurable to most, is quite boring to her. It's the pain that makes thing more stimulating. Of course this means that she's gotta learn how to play safe, after all scratches and cuts do bleed and bruises do hurt, and if she's with the wrong person who doesn't understand that, she could end up paying for it later.

Strengths: Wealthy - Thanks to daddy's law firm Abby has quite a trust fund, not to mention the things her father buys her to make up for his absent status in the rest of her life. Abby is never want for anything, she got her car on her 16th birthday and a boat on her 18th. Not to mention her 'allowance' for... well... being there. Although, she stopped getting it when she turned 21 and her trust fund opened, she had been getting it since she was 13... and never been a truly materialistic person (think savings account and lots of paint) most of the time she spent her money on her friends.

Appearance: Jason has brown hair that lightens a little in the sun and brilliant hazel eyes. His figure is a fit one, and well defined without being overly bulk. He has a charming smile and a few tattoos (and always adding more).


Cybernetics: None.

Gang: Camelot
Gang Status: The ‘King’ (Leader)

Personality: Arthur has a pretty outgoing personality, he loves to have fun and party when he can however he does take the gang and it's activities very seriously. He's strictest with his 'knights' when it comes to holding up their code and protecting their zone. Arthur is also very active in the gym and teaches some of the defense classes. While he does carry his air of authority with him, he is very approachable- there's just something about him that projects confidence and kindness. It's as if he can project his protective nature out for others to feel.

Employment: Teacher at the gym, Avalon.
Special Skills: Arthur is skilled with the sword and knife. He knows how to fire a gun, but doesn't have much practice with it. He is a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo, a shodan in Seitei Jōdō and participated in Sanshou tournaments. He has also picked up a few stray moves from others in his gang as well as other basic defense moves (which he teaches on a regular basis). It's probably safe to say he's good at leadership and tactics, couldn't have gotten where he got without them.



History: Arthur was born Jason Robert Penn, the only son of Kevin and Lillian Penn. His parents died in a car accident when he was 11 and he went to live with his uncle Luther Penn. His uncle wasn't the best role model and probably could have cared less about Jason. This gave Jason a lot of freedom, no curfew, no restrictions it wasn't necessarily the best thing for him.

Jason's decision to join Camelot wasn't one that seemed at all 'life changing'. He was 13 and he made friends right off the bat in high school. Those friends just happened to hang out at Avalon. The gym being a little more than a gym, having a small arcade and eating area for kids- it was more like a hot spot hang out. Jason started to take classes and became quite passionate about Tae Kwon Do. By the time he was 15 he was practically a 'run away', but it was less that he ran away and more like he didn't frequent home. He'd crash on friends floors or couches, and when he couldn't find a place to crash he'd go back home. His uncle never reported him missing and never really paid attention to him when he was there anyhow.

By the time he was 14 he was an official junior member of the gang, or a 'squire' and was given a mentor. Jason liked Carl, he was called Sir Kaye, and taught Jason a lot about how to fight and defend as well as the codes that Camelot tries to live up to. He learned all about how the gang works and its history. Jason served as one of Kaye's squires until he was 19 when he was promoted to knight. He wasn't made one of the round table, however so he wasn't re-christened with a new name like others. Jason was unaware that he and his three fellow former squires were being considered as a possible heir to the throne (so to speak) and that throughout Camelot history the three other Arthurs trained under a Kaye and moved from lower knight to king.

On Jason's 24th birthday he was chosen (after 5 years of preparing) to become Arthur, take over so the other Arthur stepped down (He'd been planning on it for a while, having worked hard to get the truce to be agreed upon and declaring his retirement once it did so he could become a father.). He's been ruling for about three years now and has been accepted as a fair leader, ruling with his 'queen'. Two years ago the Guenevere running the gang along side Arthur stepped down and a new one took her place.



Weaknesses: Insomnia - Intermittent Transient Middle-of-the-Night Insomnia to be more specific. For as long as he can remember sleep has been an issue. 'Episodes' last from a couple of days to a couple of weeks and tend to happen every few months or so (depending on how long they last, the shorter... the more frequent they'll be). He'll be able to fall asleep just fine, but somewhere in the middle of the night he'll wake up and have difficulty getting back to sleep. During these times he tends to suffer from many of the same issues that comes with sleep deprivation. He is currently not taking anything for it.

Over Confident - He's managed to get this far in life with no problems he couldn't handle, and most of that time he's done it all on his own. This tends to get him in trouble when he takes more work on his plate than he should-- or take on more guys than he can handle in a fight.

Addiction - Sex. Yes, Sex. He loves to have it. He's overflowing with passion that must be shared. When he's single he'll go to bars to pick up random guys. He knows of quite a few bars with 'back rooms' and knows most of the bouncers by first name. When he's in a relationship he's always trying to sneak in 'quickies' and skip dinners to go straight back to his place. If he goes more than six days without having sex he tends to be very irritable. And no, 'self sex' doesn't quench that, he guy actually has no porn because it doesn't do anything for him. He does get tested regularly and tries to be as safe as he can, but one day he might not be as lucky as he's been.

Strengths: Natural leader - Arthur is a natural leader. He took to his roll like a fish to water. People look up to him, listen to him and they respect him. He's quick on his feet, especially when trying to deal with conflicts between his 'ranks' and can be something of a smooth talker at times-- at least enough to make peace between parties.

Alan's Lieutenants run some of the various 'rackets' that are going on within the SSR. They are the people that the other members report to. Cybermen

Territorial Leaders:
While there are no official leaders of the Cybermen there are those who are tough enough to resemble some sense of authority, they tend to 'rule' over one section of territory. Basically they're the only ones allowed to get protection money or do any other jobs in that territory. Some of these 'leaders' do have others who follow them.
Required stats:
Must have cybernetics. Must be a skilled fighter. Must be between the ages of 21 and 28 (anyone younger most likely won't be respected enough to be listened to).

Cybermen:
If you'd like to follow one of the territorial leaders that's allowed, all other members are kinda 'free reign' and work in small 'packs' that are rarely the same two jobs in a row.

Other

The town has three Doctors who work freelance for various gangs. They are all wanted as PCs and can be as old as you want, or at least as old as it would take to get a medical degree. They must be fully trained in medicine (emergency medicine is the best, but doesn't have to be). - One open. One held for Cicero
