WHO: Emma Franklin and Jonah
WHEN: Backdated Valentine's
WHERE: Brooklyn Botanic Garden
WHAT: Jonah tries to make a grand gesture
WARNING: TBD
In the midst of this clear depression (he didn't assume Virtues were capable of such a thing), but his heart had been ripped out and he was making some poor choices as he stumbled along. Emma had been such a clear road (while he was confused and horrible at navigating an actual relationship), he had been over the moon. Was he lost? Was God punishing him for his selfish reasons at pursuing this human girl? He'd racked his brain over and over again how Greed had something so normal. How could a Sin in this vast universe come out with such a pure thing as love? Jonah went after the same and was rejected.
He stood at the entrance of the Botanic Garden, tickets ready, thinking maybe it was the step in the right direction. It was at least a better choice then when he'd lost Sammy, and held back that the pup had been found by his co-owners Zoe and Greed just to spend more time with Emma. This time Jonah couldn't hide behind a dog, he had to face that hurt and see if Emma had changed her feelings. He had to admit his heart was in his throat, his nerves scattered. Right now he wasn't as strong as his female counterpart, but she seemed as equally less sound than him right now. She had taken the longest break than he'd ever experienced, and part of that was his aggressive need to hang on. He didn't want Madison to take over and leave Emma behind. He'd wanted to stay for some time now, and maybe that was pushing some big buttons he'd regret later.
