WHO: Peter and OPEN (Multiple Welcome)
WHEN: Thursday (today, noonish)
WHERE: Petco near Flushing
WHAT: Searching for a scratching post
WARNINGS: TBD
He'd come for a scratching post, although he'd be loathe to admit that the insufferable orange tabby cat who liked to perch itself on his dock and boat even deserved such a luxury. He'd also be loathe to admit that said cat had gotten quite fat on Peter's fish leavings from dinner time. But it was the aquariums that drew Peter to another part of the pet mega store.
Sometimes Peter thought that humans had more rules than Hell. Rules such as Don't ride your bike on the side walk. Don't pass on the right. Don't at a child, but more importantly, most definitely do not smile at a child. Oh, and don't stare at the fish in the pet shop like a crazy person.
And if you think Peter followed any of these rules, you'd be wrong, because there he was, still in his jeans and t-shirt and work boots, staring at the fish in their glass prisons. If people thought Hell wasn't on Earth, all they had to do was come see the practice of humans pulling fish from their habitat and sticking them in a box so they could watch them swim in aimless circles right in their home.
Absolutely barbaric.
Thrice, an attendee had come to ask him if he needed help and thrice Peter had put up an impatient hand. No, he needn't any help, young lady in khaki. He needed Tylenol.
