"Let's," Jessie agreed, feeling a happy tingle beneath her skin. She lead him towards her place - not far from where they were - chatting casually about nothing of great importance. She liked Hati's arm around her as they walked and once on the way they stopped so that she could kiss him again, drawing his body against hers.
Her apartment was on the first floor of her building in Chinatown and Jessie let Hati in, tossing her keys onto the sideboard as they entered. "My humble abode," she told him, taking it all in herself and wondering how he saw it. Clean but a little unorganised with things, photos in frames on the walls - Jessie with her siblings, Jessie's parents looking happy together, a baby sleeping in a crib, a fourteen year old Jessie grinning from the back if a horse.
