WHO: Semele & Ariadne
WHEN: Saturday, early evening
WHAT: Coming to check out the daughter-in-law
Semele couldn't remember if she'd ever met her daughter-in-law, the princess Ariadne. When Semele had been a goddess she had rarely spent time on Olympus, more attuned to the forests and fields where his nymphs ran. The goddess of frenzy felt out of place in the sharp columns and bright lights of the mountain, unless she was there to taunt Hera or make her continued presence known to Zeus.
But Semele thought now that she had reconnected with her son (in a strip club of all places), that she should come properly meet the love of his life. It interested her, this mortal girl who'd caught his eye. But maybe that was right: Semele had been a mortal girl herself, loved madly by a god. In a way Dionysus was just reenacting the love of his mother and father.
The bar was nice, mostly what she had expected, and she came walking in as she slipped off her leather jacket and headed to the bar. She scanned for which one was Ariadne and when her eyes locked on those of the blonde woman, there was a moment of recognition. Semele nodded her greeting to the girl.
