WHO: Mary & Nicholas (and then Huitzilopochtli)
WHEN: technically this is supposed to be after her post but I didn't put it up so... Thursday afternoon
WHERE: Fusion Blues
WHAT: Heeey, so don't freak out, but my cannibal bf wants to meet you...
WARNINGS: tba, but probably not much.
Mary was making a habit of living about bars. This time, though, both the bar and apartment were very nice. Fusion Blues was no street corner dive and her apartment above it was equipped with the following things: heaters, air conditioning, electrical sockets that worked, unbroken windows, great furniture, and doors that could be actually walked through and well as locked behind her. Everything brought it at least ten steps up from her last place.
Mary also liked that she wasn't paying rent. Nicholas was taking his role as a follower of Mary Magdalene quite seriously and had refused to let her pay him for the room. She wasn't going to argue. The job she'd picked up - a secretary for a nearby design firm - didn't pay that well and Mary had the suspicion that she would lose it. She wasn't good at keeping jobs. Generally speaking, employers didn't take well to immortals who suddenly walked out of the city and into the forest without warning and for however long they wanted.
But now came another interesting thing. The Aztec wanted to meet Nicholas. Only momentarily had she worried for the mortal boy before realising she was being foolish. Huitzi wouldn't hurt him. Huitzi wouldn't hurt him, because that would hurt her.
She didn't know how into this idea the mortal boy was going to feel though. Quietly she made her way downstairs to where the club was being cleaned up again so it could open in a few hours. Nicholas was behind the bar and she walked over and sat down at it.
