Who: Odysseus and Penelope
When: Sunday afternoon
What: Husband and Wife run-into each other
Where: By the New York Pier
It seemed normal these days for perfect strangers to meet and have lunch off the internet. In his line of work he met strangers all the time, this wasn't out of the ordinary, and there wasn't anything fishy about this woman. This was a public place (though the pier was closed down), he could still see the ocean. He had a love hate relationship with it. It was because of that ocean and the god that owned it that Odysseus had been kept from his family. He hadn't watched his son grow up, or tell his wife how much he loved her. In the back of his mind though, he knew she knew.
He had run across Penelope in the past before at various periods of time, but each time the years got longer and he changed. Odysseus never had the same face when she saw him, and he himself had a harder time recognizing her.
In this instance he was meeting this woman he didn't even know the name of. He couldn't help but feel like he was cheating already.
