Going for a Walk

Lisa was tired of staring at her screen and at the walls of her office, with it's dated colors. The lack of air circulation didn't help. The building was designed so that the windows couldn't be opened. For an organization with the acronym GRIN, there was nothing to smile about when it came to the space. And it was Saturday and she was here and why was anyone here on a Saturday? And the Easter weekend, no less?
"Right," she announced to no one in particular, standing and loading her laptop into the carry case, grabbing her coat and slinging the strap of her purse over her head. A few volunteers turned her way. "I'm off. I need air. You have my mobile. I'll work from home. In fact, why don't you all go home? Happy Easter. Shoo. The lot of you." She gave a cheery wave and hurried from the room, down the narrow hall with it's old carpet, and down the stairs, because she didn't want to wait for the elevator and have someone try to stop her.
She was theoretically one of the people in charge of this branch and felt bad about running, but she needed to get out in what was, she'd been told, a rare sunny day.
Lisa waited for the bus - any bus - and took it, confident that she'd find her way home eventually. She just didn't want to go there just yet. Enough travel under her belt to go around the world several times, she didn't worry about getting lost.
When she saw a park, she pulled the bell on an impulse and got off at the closest stop. As the bus roared away, a gravel path into the green grass wound before her. She smiled and started to walk.
