Did you know that everyone in the wizarding world wants to move to Scotland right now? As in right now, before the sixteenth of this month, which is the last day to register to vote for the referendum? I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to move in with my mum or my brother if I want to be in Scotland before Christmas. If anyone has a line on a flat or a house for rent, let me know!

You can fuck right off too, Ernest. I've been dealing with this shite since well before you were a gleam in your da's eye. My da was murdered by the Death Eaters for standing up for Nobby Leach, and I was a first responder to Death Eater terrorism while you were in nappies, and I smuggled people out from under them two years ago while you were bundled up in Hogwarts. There were plenty of Scots on both sides of the war and implying that the bloody referendum is the same as a war of any sort is over the line.

I understand you've had a rough time of it but so have a lot of other people, Meaghan included. Maybe you'd have an easier time if you thought of something or someone other than your own self and your own pain for five fucking minutes, or long enough not to take it out on Meaghan, who, for your reference, was also involved in the war and smuggling Muggleborns when she could have ended up in Azkaban.

Nobody in this discussion supported the Death Eaters so you can just climb off that high broom. This is not the war. That's over. The only one who can't see that is you.

	I'm going to poke my nose in here and apologize for my cousin. He doesn't have the tools to deal with his trauma from the war, and he's close enough to OK that people have just let him go. I can't say he didn't mean to be rude, but the boy I knew before the war wasn't like this. I hope we can bring him back. I'll have a chat with his parents in the morning. I shouldn't have lost my temper with him. He's hard a hard row to hoe and he's still a child and I shouldn't be cross with him for behaving like one.

But really, Meaghan's not the person you want to pin that on. She's genuinely apolitical apart from being rah-rah about Scotland, but when it came down to it, she put her life on the line. And she didn't have to. It's not like me where I was going to be under suspicion no matter what happened because of my name.
