Gwydion was still adjusting to the aches and pains of his body from his own miniature sleep-coma the day before. It wasn’t easy by any means but, at the very least, he knew the pain would pass. He’d been human before and that was something he could fall back on. He just needed to get up and moving, work out his aches and pains, and maybe take care of the fact he was absolutely dying of thirst. He could do with a bite to eat, too, but first thing was first. He needed something to drink.
He knew the lobby area held a number of shops and, if he remembered correctly, a coffee shop. Since he’d woken up he’d wanted to pay a visit to that little place and get some caffeine going in his system. Maybe that would help with the pounding headache he had as well. It took him a while to get mobile and, once he’d had a chance to work out the soreness of his muscles under the spray of the showerhead with water just next to boiling for a while, he managed to get himself dressed decently enough to venture out in search of the amenities this place had to offer.
Amenities that included something called a dark raspberry mocha that was just this side of heaven itself, apparently.
Sitting down at one of the circular tables off to the side of the place, Gwydion brought out the tablet of paper he’d brought along with a fountain pen. If he was going to be on Earth for a while, he was going to need to start earning his keep. What better way than to play to one’s strengths?
