[Bethany was on her way home from work like any other normal day. As usual, she had her iPod on just enough to have some background music while she listened to the dead talk about this and that, so she wasn't paying attention to what the bus driver said. She did notice people walking off the bus. When she pulled one of her ear buds out, she finally heard the bus driver say, "Because of protestors I can't make it farther than this."
Annoyed, Bethany got off the bus. She heard some rumors of something going on, but she was sure the police would have put a stop to anything that would disrupt the city. It took her only two blocks for her to realize the police were overwhelmed. Wanting to stay away from all of that, Bethany decided to turn down a different street. Her ear bud went back in, and she started talking to her dead again.
She was caught off guard when someone grabbed her wrist and caused her to lose her balance. Because the man who grabbed her didn't let go, she didn't fall completely on the ground. Her palm hit the concrete, but she didn't have time to register the pain as the tall, almost faceless man yanked her back up. He said something about her being one of them, but she didn't listen to the rest.
He was still in the middle of a sentence, when she kicked his shin. She heard him call her a bitch as he leaned over to rub his leg. It seemed like the perfect moment to try pulling her arm free, but that didn't cause him to loosen his grip. Bethany's free hand went up to the guy's face where she dug her nails into his cheek, leaving behind three very good scratches.
Needless to say, the man didn't like that one bit. Straightening back up, he slapped her across the face. She tried not letting the man see how painful it was, but it she couldn't help the grimace that formed. He smiled a little. That smile, coupled with the scratches, made him look a bit crazy. And maybe he was. But she didn't have time to think about that as he started pulling her with him toward the mass of people she was initially trying to avoid.
He didn't have an easy time of it. Bethany pulled and scratched at his hand as she tried to stay upright and walking. She successfully managed to fall down only twice before she decided the only way she was going to free herself was to bite his hand. This was something she had seen done in many movies and it didn't seem so bad. She was wrong. The way her teeth sunk into the skin, his taste in her mouth, his blood touching her tongue. It was a horrible experience and one she never wanted to go through again.
But it worked. He let go. Then she ran.]
[Phone Call -> Max]
I'm stuck.
I could call someone else if [The sound of someone banging on a door is heard in the background.] y-you don't want to come. But I want you to. I'm in the mens bathroom. Of that drug store in town. Near Georgia Street.
Be careful.
