Plotting Post - May
This is our monthly plotting post! Here you may propose ideas (for your characters & their CR, or on a more game-wide scale), try to seek out CR for your characters, ask for suggestions for things you'd want to play out or ways to do it, gather participants for specific ideas you might have planned, and so on.

You may also ask us mods about any doubts regarding upcoming events, propose themes for new posts, sort out jar shenanigans, and anything else.

Our upcoming mod and player planned events are the following:

+ 18/05, Memory event

Hot springs log
Just what it sounds like-- an opportunity for characters to relax after the sickness event; also an opportunity for a character to fulfill one of the miniquests.

Memory event
More info forthcoming on that-- but this will be the major event for the month and leading into AC. It'll involve, of course, being able to see others' memories. More specifics coming soon!

	Accounting for the recent rise in activity, we decided to go with the more lowkey jealousy event for now, and push back the Memory event for next AC round! So get to plotting, because it's still happening relatively soon. (Reply to this) (Parent)

This is a very undeveloped skeleton of an event idea, but:

In honour of this whole restoring balance thing, what about some kind of multi-parts event where each instance affects different "types" of magic? I was thinking something like one day, people with "dark" kinds of magic (people like Sebastian) would be very negatively affected and completely useless in whatever task the world demands, while people with positive "light" magic (like Sakura) are much stronger. And then on another day, the reverse is true.

Technology could be counted as its own separate brand of "magic", and there could be a day where all magic-users are useless and so it's time for the Muggles to shine? The problem with this is that most characters' powers can't be sorted that neatly into distinct categories. Undeveloped skeleton, like I said.

I just glanced at this again and I thought, what if it's a day/night thing? We create a mini-AU of sorts like we did a few times before (I'm thinking like our past dragon or warrior/priest scenarios), and suddenly in this new "world" some people get access to their powers by day, others by night.

It could make it easier to actually keep threads going and not have one thread for one incapacitated person, one for the other, or separate logs for each which'd slow down whatever the overarching plot might be?
