Plotting Post - November
This is our monthly plotting post! Here you may propose ideas (for your characters & their CR, or on a more game-wide scale), try to seek out CR for your characters, ask for suggestions for things you'd want to play out or ways to do it, gather participants for specific ideas you might have planned, and so on.

You may also ask us mods about any doubts regarding upcoming events, propose themes for new posts, sort out jar shenanigans, and anything else.

Our upcoming mod and player planned events are the following:

+ 15/11, de-age event.

According to my careful calculations, our current character count amounts to:

Non-humans: 4
Humans with magical powers: 4
Muggles: 5

(And then there are Chloe and Leo who are weird special cases who ruin my neat list.)

My point is: we can maybe do something with neat numbers like this? A body-swap, only it's more of a power-and-genetic-makeup-swap? Suddenly Yuuri has Sakura's magical powers to capture and seal Clow cards, while Sakura is a muggle. Lucifer is human while suddenly Leo sprouts wings and finds himself, to his great despair, irresistible to everyone around him.

	UM, I kinda adore this idea so much? I think it'd definitely have to be something like a power-swap because an actual body-swap might be too difficult to set up with account switching and whatnot. But a power-swap or even a personality-swap could be so much fun? Andrea you're knocking it out of the park lately with awesome ideas. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	You'd be amazed at what "I want to turn Sebastian human. How do I achieve this?" does for your creativity. But I'm glad you approve! Yes, I was definitely thinking not a traditional bodyswap for exactly the reasons you mentioned. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yeah, it's a cool idea. And we could potentially randomize it, too, so we aren't just sticking with like. established CR and/or OTP stuff ~~cause lbr you all know me~~. We could make it a quest or at least part of the event itself that the person who's suddenly muggled has to now teach the other person how to handle those sudden powers. And maybe there's some kind of... reason people'd have to use these powers, to kinda keep the place in balance or w/e idk just brainstorming here. I LIKE THIS IDEA.

	"Oh no, the world is in INBALANCE because people are stuck with the wrong powers. You people have to fix the mess the world caused by teaching the suddenly-powered person how to use your respective powers!" Another option would be to discard the switching-with-each-other idea and make it so that three people could end up with, say, Yukine's powers. (Reply to this) (Parent)

I think we're all more or the less familiar with all our characters' powers, otherwise I'd suggest a kind of sales pitch post where we give bullet points presentation of each character's powers, so that others can request which set of powers (and weaknesses?) they think most fun to give their own character.

We could possibly also use a broad definition of "powers". Whoever switches with one of the skater boys is suddenly a world class skater, etc.

The ~~totally on-time~~ quests for November are:

+ Secure the more dangerous areas leading into the forests, ocean, & underground tunnels by however means the characters can think of - magic seals, patrolling, a big colorful sign, you pick.

Reward: Two positive konpeito, with more added should someone wander off and actually be stopped by these attempts at keeping others safe.

UPCOMING EVENTS

+ First, the de-age event, starting on the 15th. It's just as it sounds: characters will suddenly find themselves reverting back in age, whether that be a few years or more significantly younger. We're expecting this event to last over a couple logs since it's always relatively popular. ~~We all know how this one goes down.~~

If you have any questions regarding it, feel free to ask us here! For now, this is the only major event we have planned for this month.

So because December is usually a slower month, and we also have JL's impending move to consider, here are suggestions for December:

+ Andrea's power swap event, as explained above. Characters without powers suddenly gain another's power and the person with powers is suddenly a muggle.

Questions to consider: do we want the incentive to 'teach them how to use it or something bad will happen', do we want to plot out the swapping or have the mods randomize it, how long should this ideally last and when would you like it to occur? Any other questions/concerns to bring up?

+ Mistletoe event, which was popular in the past. Characters get caught beneath it and have to complete a task in order to get free. We have the classics: kissing and hugging, but we also have the twists from the past: compliments, insults, physical harm, lies, truths, etc.

Any other suggestions to add to the line-up?

(Keep in mind that depending on timing, some things might get pushed back for January, too. If that timing actually works better for you, feel free to make a note of it!)

	I'd never considered such a thing, hum. We could consider it an option, or leave a 'you become a tiny' as an option for a possible mutation-like event later? (we definitely need our 'event wildcard' at some point) (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I mostly just want Sebastian to suffer the frustration of being too short to reach the counter, to be honest.

But that aside, it could be an option for characters without enough backstory to even guess what they were like as a child. Another option: a character turns into a child physically and mentally but still retains memories of their time in the game, CR included, only it's altered to make them believe they've always been a child while here. If someone doesn't want to deal with the "newly arrived confused child" aspect, that is.

	I should be available completely by the end of December (end of november/beginning of december being currently kinda up in the air lol pray for our paperwork to get done), obviously I'll make sure to confirm that much. So I'd vote for mistletoe around actual Christmas time for now! Maybe power swap to start off January? (Reply to this) (Parent)
