Today's art entry marks the final posting in the 2010 minerva_fest. Tomorrow, we'll post an anonymous masterlist as well as a guessing poll. The reveals will occur on Saturday, November 6.

I'd like to see her being tough and awesome and discovering herself - basically, 'Young Woman in WW2 Gets To Be Brilliant' with bonus magic and lesbianism. :) Don't stress over plottiness.

Description: Sometimes their WATA (Witches' Air Transport Auxiliary) courier routes overlapped, and they shared the adventure, flying over the English countryside with Top Secret documents in sealed satchels on their broomsticks. When they separated, Aurora always blew Minerva a kiss.

Artist's Notes: The Air Transport Auxiliary was a British civilian service branch that employed many women pilots during the war. The Witches' branch was, of course, Top Secret itself. The uniform is partially Victorian cycling/riding costume and partially 1940s Airwomen of the RAF. Thanks to my chatroom buddies for the inspiration and encouragement on this one.

And so Week Three of the minerva_fest comes to a close. Comments have fallen off a bit in recent days, which isn't surprising: your mods all know how RL can interfere with reading. But there are excellent stories here, so if you do read and enjoy them, please drop the authors a quick line.
