Summary: Harry has a bit of a wand problem. Draco may be able to help him with the solution.

	Thank you, thank you for a very nicely done piece that has FINALLY put the Elder wand in its place. What I mean is that I now understand it completely (a mere six months after the publication of DH!. Few people use magic as extensively as you have here and done it as successfully. Bravo! What I liked most about this fic is the characterizations. They were perfect. All of them. I'm not a really big BDSM fan but this worked for me. I also always saw Draco as a poncy bottom. But with your characterization of him, it fit. Your ideas on wandlore and magical theory were well-thought out and well-executed. It was very interesting how it all worked out. You've written a truly great fic!

	This was so well written and plotted. I loved how you dealt with the aftermath of the war for Draco and for Harry. It was also very clever using Severus' portrait to get around the Elder Wand. Ohhh, this is fabulous. The descriptive detail that you keep throughout is just perfection. I love how you handled the bit with Ginny and Draco's personality all through the fic was just spot-on! I adored Snape's appearance in this (must admit to a moment of squee when Harry heard his voice lol) and I fell in love with your portrayal of the... scene, I guess, in this. The flogging was exceptional, the fireplay was done with a deft touch, and Harry's final submission was so incredibly emotional. This was so fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing it with us all, and ES is such a lucky, lucky woman!

Holy hell, that was *brilliant*!

I loved this wonderful mix of BDSM and magic and most of all how you tied it into canonical wand lore (great title, too!). 'Formal' D/S scenarios tend to throw me out of the 'magical world' of the HP universe, and so I fell totally in love with this because it manages to integrate and motivate the fic and the characters - the way Harry 'needs' this experience to work through his experiences in the war, and needs it technically to force the wands to cooperate - that's really something. And I squeed like a silly thing at the sheer brilliance of adding the sexual component to the power dynamics of DH wand habits :).

And wheee! Snape's portrait in control was so, so good! It works great for the plot, and even better for the sexual dynamics. I adored Snape and Draco egging each other on there to no end.

I've become extremely impatient with Ginny!bashing as a staple of H/D fic lately (even though I don't like Ginny) and enjoyed the way you went off the beaten track at the end - she *is* pushy and annoying, but also *very* eloquent and the final scene with her and Harry shows that Harry has been acting the absolute git with her too. Excellent resolution there (the mild suggestion of a threesome in particular made me grin).

And *so* wonderful an ending - I adored that even after such an emotionally draining and powerful sex scene, you collapsed me into giggles at
"Come on, Potter. Did you ever notice how much purple that man wore?"

	I'll be honest with you, I'm not into BDSM at all, so it takes a lot to make me read a story that features it. You managed it with your brilliant take on post-war Harry, with the trauma and survivor's guilt he's bound to have after everything he's been through. What an amazing read!
As others have said before me, I, too, am not into BDSM at all. I don't understand the mind set, and too often I have seen it used by writers simply as an excuse to hurt the characters. This is probably the best I've seen it handled, however, and as I was reading the bit where Draco was expounding on why Harry can tolerate pain I was nodding. It just made so much sense.
The characterizations were superb, denoting wonderful insight.
Brilliantly done! Siren's present is a gift to us all.

Exceedingly well done fic. The thing I often find lacking in romantic fics is the assumption that both Harry and Hermione are able to "switch" from being totally in control (in order to survive) to letting go completely in a sexual situation. I understand, it's sort of prerequisite to writing porn not to have the characters be "frigid bitches", but it is fairly unrealistic. That's why I enjoyed your take on the subject so immensely.

Oh. my. god. This was one of the hottest, intensest, most IC stories I've ever read. I'm in complete awe. You transported me to a place I've never been - along with Harry - and all of this was done within complete canon-compliance. *worships* I absolutely adore this story. Everything about it - from lovely lost Harry, to Draco (who so clearly loves him), to Severus commanding this erotic encounter from beyond the grave. This was erotic as all get-out, but also so touching and deeply true. Draco's speech about Harry bottling up his suffering was so true - not only for Harry, but for all of us. God, this was just brilliantly written and so sensitively handled. Bravo!

fab story! deservedly recced all around.

I can't help point out one thing though- Yorkshire pudding is not usually a dish by itself: it's part of a traditional roast, so you'd get beef, roast potatoes, veg, and a bit of Yorkshire pudding on your plate, served with gravy and other sauces. Sorry if you know this, or if you've come across Yorkshire pudding being served on its own, but for that one passage, my mind kept thinking about the Yorkshire pudding... *is embarrassed now*

But only for that passage! The story was really absorbing, and I really enjoyed it, so thank you so much for being an awsome writer!

I really enjoyed the aspects of wandlore you incorporated into your fic - you took some talked-about ideas and extended them further than I've read anywhere else, and in such a way that I could really believe in your explanation. I liked the Draco you created 3 years post-war -I felt a bit uncomfortable with the opening scene at the manor where they hugged though, although having read the complete fic I can see why you chose that particular moment to set up the changed dynamic between them.

I thought you handled the BDSM stuff really well, as I have often read it and felt squicked, and your writing didn't squick me at all! I felt so badly for Harry at having an audience, and I sort of skimmed some of the Snape bits, but other than that I sucked up all the domainant Draco dialogue with relish.

Thank you for a very thought-provoking fic. I shall no doubt be pondering wandlore once again on the back of your ideas.
