"It's not a war...it takes two willing opposing forces to have a war.", the Doctor murmurs to himself softly, getting up to pace the small cell.
"I always thought your kind would grow out of that mentality...humans as a whole." He looks to the younger man, addressing him since there's no one in the room but the two of them. "Or hoped that you would at least. The world would be a lot richer if it weren't for men like him."
He sighs, walking to the cell door and peering beyond. The commotion outside has died down of course, but he doesn't know for how long. All he can do is hope the drug will wear off soon, he's not quite sure he can get the other in the TARDIS at this point.
He waits a few seconds more before finally approaching the other again, hesiting but gently cupping his face in his hands. "Listen to me. You don't know me...but I know you. You're human. You overcome impossible odds just about every day, this isn't impossible. Please, please just fight it. I can take you away from here if you'll let me...but you need to help me. I can't do this alone."
